Created in 1941 by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby to represent the opposition to Nazi Germany, Captain America combined superhero stories with patriotism and the fight against oppression in the world. Captain America stands tall as a symbol of freedom and democracy , ever vigilant in the face of opposition.

Captain America makes for a truly imposing and heroic image, and it’s made even better by offering you a choice in how you want to display him. Included with the statue are two heads so your Cap can wear his cowl or go bare-headed as Steve Rogers. The classic Captain America stands a stately 15" tall (1/6 scale). His rocky terrain base matches those on the other upcoming Classic Avengers: the previously released Thor and the upcoming Iron Man. Collect your classic Avengers team just in time for the new film.

A Kotobukiya Japanese import. The mighty Thor is back and better than ever. In 1962 comic book mastermind Stan Lee set out to create a new superhero, one who was incredibly powerful. He found such a character in Norse mythology, the god of thunder. A true champion of good, he has fought beside many other Marvel Comics superheroes throughout the years, including several incarnations of the Avengers. It’s in that spirit that he appears as the first in an all-new fine art statue series, Thor Classic Avengers. Coinciding with the upcoming Avengers film in 2012, this series celebrates the classic versions of some of Marvel’s greatest heroes, starting with the Asgardian warrior who just this year received his own feature film. Based on classic art by Jack Kirby, Thor stands as a literal god upon the field of battle. Huge and muscular, the god of thunder poses triumphantly with his magical hammer Mjolnir held high above his head as though daring the enemies of Asgard to challenge him. The classic look is authentic from the colorful costume (sleeveless black belted tunic with silver discs, blue pants, yellow wrapped high boots and red cape) to his hair and accessories (red and black wristbands and silver winged helmet).

Thor has an incredibly detailed sculpt that captures every bulging muscle, crease and fold of his costume and the flowing strength of his cape and long blonde hair. Particularly well done are the powerful but battle worn Mjolnir with its chips, cracks and iconic inscription and the deity’s face focused fiercely on the battle at hand. Sculpted by Kotobukiya master artist Erick Sosa, Thor dominates the fine art statue series at nearly 13 ½" tall. The blast from the past stands on a crushed rock terrain base that will match those on the other upcoming Classic Avengers, Captain America and Iron Man. A Kotobukiya Japanese import. In 1984's Secret Wars storyline by Marvel Comics, Spider-Man's original blue and red costume was damaged. He found a gooey black substance that flowed over the hero's body, creating a black and white costume that seemed too good to be true. A few months later, it was revealed that the substance was actually an alien parasite. After Spider-Man rejected it, the parasite joined with disgraced reporter Eddie Brock to become the monstrous Venom. Kotobukiya is proud to present Venom as you've never seen him before. The first in a new lineup of Marvel Villains, the alien parasite is captured stalking his prey with wicked claws at the ready and his signature toothy grin splitting his face. Though Venom is static and calm on the surface, inside you know he's up to no good.

The black costume is visually striking with dark blue accents and set off by the white sections on Venom's face, chest, back, and hands. Every inch of the villain's hulking musculature is sculpted to perfection, as are the details of his horrific open mouth. Venom is absolutely massive at 13 inches tall, dominating the Marvel Comics Kotobukiya Collection of Fine Art Statues. He stands atop a specially-designed circular base that lights up with interior LEDs, further enhancing the display options of this amazing villain. Sculpted by Junnosuke Abe, Venom is constructed of high-quality cold-cast porcelain and is a limited, numbered edition.
